Welcome to Cherry Tree Rural Water District. Online Bill Pay is now operational. Use billing statements for amount and account number.

As promised, the water district is moving forward with the Sustainability Program. Oklahoma Rural Water Association, Department of Environmental Quality, and Cherokee Nation have joined the water district in an effort to evaluate and prioritize system issues for project funding. Our activity in the system will be increasing beyond routine work orders, maintenance, and leak repair. Help us help you by reporting leaks, meter tampering, and pipe exposures.

Public Service Announcement:

The water district recommends and adamantly suggest all members monitor their water usage on a monthly basis. It is important for customers to monitor readings and usage in an effort to discover potential service line leaks prior to receiving a high bill. CTRWD only bills for water that runs through the meter.

NOVEMBER 5, 2019 – The image below displays the creek crossing at Oakridge when it was compromised due to flooding water. It has been repaired and we are awaiting funding to have the creek crossings re-engineered and relocated. Cherokee Nation is working with a contractor to have Oakridge and Kirk Mountain creek crossings bored. OKIE One Call has been informed, so it will not be long before the project begins. Also, a leak affecting members near the Oakridge water tower was located and it has been corrected. Please keep us advised of low pressure or outage situations.

A rumor has been circulating regarding leaks and customer billing. The water district does not charge customers for leaks or water loss when the leak occurs on our main lines. Customers are only responsible for metered water loss when leaks occur on service lines between the meter and residence.

Please be extremely careful removing meter can lids. Transmitters are located in the lid and can be damaged if care is not taken. We prefer customers call the office or emergency numbers if a lid is to be removed, unless it is an emergency turn off for a leak and the valve needs to be accessed. We recommend that customers have a plumber install a shut off valve on service lines to avoid removing meter can lids. Thank you for the assistance.

Be aware and vigilant. Be safe and protected.

Thank you!
